Day 7 – 7-Day Spiritual Journey
As someone who accepted Jesus many years ago, I am honored to share today’s blog post.
“We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him, our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you. “ Psalm 56:3-4.
Day 7 – Accepting Jesus
My journey is in the final two days, and I’m overjoyed to realize that God has been by my side all along. Even before I started my quest, it was me who wandered away, not God who left me alone. In seeking His face these past six days, I find comfort, peace, his attention and favor surrounding me.
Insight
During my quiet time this morning I looked at seven scriptures relating to the topic to Accepting Jesus, and I want to share with you. I encourage you to look them up in your Bible and read two or three verses before and after the ones below to better understand what was going on at the time.
- Philippians 2:13 – “… for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
- Ephesians 1:5 – “… he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.
- John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- Psalm 5:3 – “In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice. In the morning, I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
- Matthew 3:1 – “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven, is near.”
- Matthew 25:34 – “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
- Luke 12:32 – “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
Encouragement
God’s Kingdom, His inheritance is for you, your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. He has prepared a place for all of us. Be assured Heaven can hold us all! Accepting Jesus is for everyone!
Discovery
God is so pure that He cannot look upon impurity. Therefore, our impurity creates a chasm between us and God. But God loves us so much that He provided a way for us to bridge the chasm so we may be in a relationship with Him.
God came down to earth in human form (Jesus Christ) and became the payment for our impurity (sin) so we can be given our inheritance at the right time and live forever with God and Jesus.
To receive the holy gift of Jesus that God provides, we must choose to accept Jesus and His gift.
Hope
Accepting Jesus:
If you want to bridge the gap between you and God and haven’t invited Jesus into your life before – repeat these words in a prayer to Him.
- Jesus, I know I’m a sinner and separated from you!
- I need and want you in my life.
- Please forgive me for all the times I’ve messed up and hurt you!
- I want to turn my life around, and I ask you to come into my life. I choose to follow you.
- Thank you, Jesus, for loving me and dying on the cross for my sin.
- I give my life freely to you now, Jesus!
In Your Holy name, Amen!
Conclusion
Sisters, if you prayed this prayer, I want to be the first to welcome you to the family of Christ!
A renewed mind is Presence-focused. Train your mind to seek God in every moment, every situation. Sometimes you can find Him in your surroundings: a lilting birdsong, a loved one’s smile, golden sunlight. At other times, you must draw inward to find Him. I am always present in your spirit. Seek My Face, speak to Me, and I will light up your mind.

I encourage you to find a bible believing church and begin to attend. Find one who believes in the study of scripture. And get baptized as soon as possible. It’s a crucial step in your journey as a new Christian. And buy yourself a bible. Someone from your new church can help you pick a good study bible. Amazon has a lot of them.
Acts 2:38 – Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and all who are far off – for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
1 Peter 3:21 – … “and this water symbolized baptism that now saves you also – not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand – with angels, authorities, and powers in submission to him.”
Start each day focused on God and reading His Word. Your adventure is just beginning. Thank Him for a new day of life and a fresh new beginning.
Remember, you will never get this day back, so make it count.
