Allison Garrett wanted to attend the best business school in the US, but she needed a full scholarship. Her chances were looking grim. She’d already turned down two offers because they didn’t offer her enough. It was a gutsy move. One she hoped she wouldn’t regret.

Her parents didn’t understand her desire to go to the best school, although they should. Her father was retired military and didn’t settle for second best in anything, and her mom … well, she was just good at everything.

With trembling hands, she opened the long-awaited letter. Her last chance!

Attending Carlton Ridge University in Marble Springs, Colorado, meant everything to Allie. Her parents didn’t understand, although they should. Her father was a retired military sergeant who didn’t settle for second best in anything.  And her mom … well, she usually kept the peace.

She gets the scholarship she needs!
